What are the official minimum requirements?

The Steam listing checked on August 13, 2026 supports Windows and does not list macOS or Linux for the full game. A compatibility layer or another game from the same developer does not make those platforms officially supported.

What does the minimum specification actually prove?

A minimum list tells you the developer's published entry baseline. It does not state a target frame rate, resolution or graphics preset. It also does not guarantee identical behavior on every newer part: drivers, thermal limits, shared memory, background software and laptop power settings can all change the result.

• Compare the full model, not only the brand name. An Intel Core i5 label spans many generations.
• Check whether your GPU is dedicated or integrated and how much system memory it shares.
• Keep more than the bare 1 GB free so Steam can download and unpack updates safely.
• Use Windows Update and the GPU manufacturer's official driver source; avoid third-party driver mirrors.
• Treat a smooth menu as a weak test. Night combat and busy scenes are the more useful stability checks.

Are recommended specs published?

Steam does not list a separate recommended PC configuration. A newer CPU or GPU is therefore not labeled as an official recommendation. If the developer adds recommended requirements later, this table will be updated from the official store.

What about Steam Deck performance?

The official launch announcement says Anomaly President is Deck Verified. A separate creator test observed a drop from around 60 FPS to roughly 40 FPS in the first stage on that device. The test is useful as a dated field observation, but it is not a desktop benchmark and cannot predict every scene or future patch.

If you use a Steam Deck, confirm the current Verified badge and recent player reports in Steam before treating an older video as current. If you use a desktop, compare your own CPU and GPU directly with the official minimum instead of using the Deck result as a substitute.

What should you check when performance is poor?

1. Confirm the installed game version and read the newest official patch notes.
2. Restart Steam and Windows so a pending update or stale process is removed from the test.
3. Verify the game files through Steam.
4. Close overlays and background capture tools temporarily to isolate their effect.
5. Test one graphics or resolution change at a time and record the scene where the problem occurs.
6. If the issue survives verification on the current patch, report the version, hardware, scene and reproduction steps through the official community channel.
